The Tokyo Metro puts posters of "what you should not do when in Metro".
So far, I have liked all the posters which have been updated monthly, particularly because of the exaggerated situations illustrated on the posters. Simple, funny but properly deliver the key messsage.

カメラ

ここ数年使っていたデジカメの状態がよくありません。
一晩充電しても10分ほど使うとすぐにバッテリーが切れてしまうのです。

最近はもっぱら携帯のカメラ機能で代用をしていて、
ここに載せている写真もほとんどが携帯から撮ったものです。

携帯のカメラも結構役に立ちますが、
いやしかし、やはり新しいデジカメが欲しい。

ということで色々見てみたところ、
今欲しいのがこの2つ。

まずはライカのコンパクトデジカメ。
ライカのロゴがかわいい。
しかも、カメラの中のライカということで、
多分私にもいい写真が撮れる気がするのです。

こちらがそのライカ。

も一方、インテリアショップで見つけたドイツのAGFA PHOTO。
このちょっとレトロな感じが漂うカメラも気になります。

それはこちら。

おもちゃみたいなボディーに、まん丸で真っ赤なシャッターボタンは、
なんともお茶目。
独特の鮮やかな発色が特徴というのにも心惹かれるではないですか。
（しかも値段だって高くない！）

質がよさそうで安心できるライカか、
遊び心を重視してAGFA　PHOTOか。

うーん、迷ってしまいます。

My artistic friend

A few days ago, I received a very original letter from my friend.

She painted flowers and other pattens on normal blank white paper and created very colourful fun writing paper.

Each piece of paper is decorated with different lovely things, such as flowers, fish, ants etc.

It is nice enough just to receive a letter from somebody,
but to receive a letter written on original writing paper is something really special!

In the letter she claims that she is now becoming an artist.
I should be artistic too to reply to my new artist friend then.

お久しぶりです

ずいぶん長いこと更新をお休みしていました。
最後の更新から、もう2ヶ月弱も経ってしまい、
気がつけばもう10月。
秋本番です。

久しぶりの更新なので、この2ヶ月弱の間の私の生活をまとめてみました。

１．ヨーロッパでの休暇。ロンドン、パリ、そしてドイツのハンブルグ近くの町に行ったのです。

２．ヨーロッパから帰国して、世界を旅しながら生きていきたい、と改めて思う。特にヨーロッパと日本の半々に住めたらどんなにいいだろう。

３．と、休暇の余韻に浸っていたのに、職場の上司に、「うーん、そろそろこの資格試験を受けたほうがいいよね」と促される。試験勉強なんてもうすることはないだろうと思っていたのに・・・。とりあえず試験勉強をすることになる。

４．友人の結婚式！それもこのWAMONOの長の結婚式。友人の結婚式って言うのはいいものですね。新郎新婦のプロフィールビデオを観て、思わずほろりと泣いてしまいました。

５．試験勉強から逃避するため立て続けに何冊か小説を読む。ホテルニューハンプシャーは本当にいいですね。

６．ヨーロッパの友人達に写真を送るため手紙を書く。こんな小さなことでもなんだかヨーロッパにつながっていく気がしてちょっと幸せ。

７．突然にして日本とウズベキスタン間で遠距離の関係を続けていた友人の結婚が決まる！なんとメデタイ！結婚続き。旦那となる人が日本で仕事を見つけたのです。最高ですね。

８．やばいと思い、勉強を始める。

９．が、勉強を始める前に、お昼休みに勉強できる職場近くのカフェを検索しておいたほうがいいだろう、と思いつく。ネットで何時間も時間をつぶしてしまう。自己嫌悪。

１０．これまたやばいと思い、WAMONOを書くことにする。

うーん、こうやって書いてみると、後半あまり有効な時間の使い方をしていませんね。試験前に現実逃避している学生と行動パターンが全く一緒。

ま、ここは一つ気を引き締めて、
また新たにこつこつとWAMONOの更新を続けていくことにします。

（で、更新が久しぶりなので、今日は日本語のみ。次回は英語で書こう。）

新しい美容院・This is what I call a quality service

ちょっと気分を変えようと、
新しい美容院に行ってみました。

ただなんとなーく選んだ美容院だったのに、これが大当たり！

これまでの美容院は、分業化という近代の素晴らしい発見（？）に基づき、
スタイリストさんやアシスタントが、
シャンプーだったり、
カットだったり、
マッサージだったり、
ヘアカットのプロセスをそれぞれが部分的に担当という、
まったく無駄がない、大量生産式ベルトコンベア式の美容院だったのです。

ところが今回行った美容院は、
まず汗ばんでいた私の首元をドライヤーの冷たい風で二人がかりで（！）乾かし、
カラーの待ち時間の数十分は、
担当の美容師さんは他のお客さんを担当するのでもなく、
私の隣に椅子を置いておしゃべりしたり、
私と一緒にぼーっとしながらカラーが終わるのを待つ、
というなんとも非効率的で、
でもとても人間らしくゆったりした美容院なのでした。

不完全で、非効率なこの感じ、
こっちの方が性に合ってるな、と思った私は、
この美容院の人間らしい質の高いサービスを求めて、
次もこの美容院に行くことに決めたのでした。

I visited a new hair salon few weeks ago, just to try out a new place.

The way I selected this hair salon was
by looking through a free magazine and randomly picking up one which seemed ok.
To my surprise, this randomly picked up hair salon turned out to be a great salon for me.

The other hair salon I used to go before offered a perfect service,
through a modern division of labour.
The entire hair dressing process was divided into small pieces of different tasks,
with hair stylists and assistants each taking up
their responsible parts, such as
shampooing,
hair cutting,
colouring,
hair drying,
and tea serving.

Just like automobile parts on a belt conveyor being assembled at each process point, my hair was efficiently handled by different hair professionals.

The new hair salon, on the other hand, offered a very inefficient service.
To start with, two stylists attempted to cool down my hair and neck using hair dryers right after I arrived at the salon as it was a very hot day outside.
As for the hair colour, one of the stylists pulled a small stool next to my chair,
and just kept on chatting and daydreaming with me for about 30 min until the colouring was complete .

It was a totally inefficient, slow paced and therefore a very humanly place.
This is what I call a quality service!

肉まみれ／the heaven of meat

みなさん、お暑ぅございます。
このブログも夏休みをいただいてしまいました。
Hello, everybody. It has been really hot in Tokyo.
This blog had long summer vacation.

で、最近ちょっくら神戸まで行ってきましたよ。
ちょいちょい用を済ませ、向かった先は兵庫県立美術館。
Recently, I went to Kobe.
After finishing some tasks, I got to Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art.

きれいでしょ？
安藤忠雄が設計したおしゃれ建築らしいです。
灘駅で下車して行ってきました。
It looks beautiful, doesn't it?
I heard that the famous architect, Tadao Ando designed it.
The nearest station is Nada station.

ほら、おしゃれでしょ？
裏手は港町・神戸らしく運河になってました。
See, it is cool?
I knew that I was in Kobe having big ports when going to the back of the building.
There was a wide canal at the back.

お目当てはこちら。
『冒険王・横尾忠則』。
少し前まで横浜の美術館でやってたんですけど行けなかったので、ここでリベンジです。
アーティストでもあり、デザイナーでもある横尾忠則。
アーティストとしての彼は「Y字路」の作品で有名ですね。
でも、僕が好きなのは、デザイナーとしての彼の作品。
レトロとモダンのバランスが絶妙だから、懐かしくて新しいデザインです。
彼が手がけた少年マガジンの表紙が好きだったんですが、ここでは出会えませんでしたー、残念。
I went there to enjoy the exhibition "TADANORI YOKOO BE ADVENTURES".
Though it was held in a museum in Yokohama, I couldn't come.
So that was big chance for me.
Tadanori Yokoo is not only an artist but also a designer.
"A fork" series are famous as works of an artist, Tadanori Yokoo.
But I like him as a designer more than as an artist.
Balance between retrospective and modern taste is excellent, so all of works designed by him looks a kind of new.
Though I love the cover of the comic magazine designed by him, I couldn't find it in the exhibition...that's pity.

これこれ、これが好き。
I love just it.

そして、み・な・さ・ん、神戸と言えば何ですか？
え？　何？　…うんうん、そう！　君、正解！！
牛です、うし！　神戸牛＆但馬牛でっす！
Well, what do you connect with "Kobe" ?
What? Pardon? ...oh, yes!! You are right!!
Beef! Kobe is famous for beef!
Especially, two brands "Kobe-gyu" and "Tajima-gyu" are famous.

ということで、もちろん夜は焼いてきちゃいました。
但馬牛をがっつりと。
So, I ate Tajima-gyu as yaki-niku at night.

肉！
Meat!

ビアッ！！
Beer!!

肉！！
Meat!!

たまにキムチ。
Sometimes kimchee.

肉！！！
Meat!!!

レモンサワー！！！！
Sour with lemon!!!!

ここ、全国の但馬牛を提供する焼き肉屋の中で優良賞をとっているようです。
なにせ牧場を直営している焼き肉屋ですからね。
『焼肉牧場　やまがき　三宮店』でした！
This restaurant won a prize as one of good yaki-niku restaurant serving Tajima-gyu.
I convinced that when knowing the restaurant manages some stock farm.
Here is "Yaki-niku Bokujo Yamagaki Sannomiya"!

もう１軒、締めの１杯を飲みに『E.H BANK』へ。
その名の通り、もともとはチャータード銀行だったところです。
I went to "E.H BANK" to drink more.
As the name, it had been originally Chartered Bank.

ほら、名残がこんなところに。
See, it is one of vestiges.

天井高くて、オトナな雰囲気でなかなかよかったです。
油と酒にまみれた一日はふけていきましたとさ！
The ceiling was higher and the atmosphere was good for adults.
The night had far advanced with a lot of oil and liquor...!

暑い夜に／hot night

最近、本当に暑い東京ですが、いかがおすごしですか？
It has been really hot in Tokyo!
How have you been?

僕はこうお過ごしです。
I spent a time like this.

さて、ここはどこでしょう？
ベルギーで行った老舗のパブを思い出しましたが、れっきとした東京です。
銀座ライオンです。
暑い夜に涼しくなるべく、駆け込みました。
Well, where is this?
I remembered some old pubs in Belgium here, but this is in Tokyo.
"Ginza Lion", the pub in Ginza.
I went there to make myself cool at such a hot night.

ここ、こんなに雰囲気があるのは歴史があるから。
1911年に築地精養軒（有名な上野精養軒の前身ですね）が『カフェー・ライオン』を開いてから続いているものだからです。
ちなみに、この「ライオン」というのは、ロンドンのピカデリーサーカスの角で営業するレストラン『ジョー・ライオンズ商会』にあやかったものらしいです。
そして、壁に施されたモザイク画は1934年に菅原栄蔵によって創られたもの。
This pub has a good atmosphere because it was built so many years ago.
Tsukiji-Seiyouken (the predecessor of Ueno-Seiyouken, the famous restaurant) opened "Cafe Lion" in 1911. It is the origin of "Ginza Lion".
By the way, the name of "Lion" was from the restaurant "Joe Lion's firm" at the corner of Piccadilly Circus, London.
The mosaic on the wall was created by Eizo Sugawara in 1934.

暑い夜にはやっぱりビールですね。間違いない。
At the hot night, beer is wonderful! Nobody might deny that.

そして、暑い夜に熱くなるためにここへも。
And I went here to get hotter at the hot night.

『レッドブルサウンドクラッシュ』。
音楽イベントですが、２組のバンドがその音楽で闘うというもの。
"Red Bull SOUNDCLASH"
This was an event of music.
2 bands fought with their music.

こんな感じでふたつのステージが設けられ、互いにプレイし合います。
さっきの写真を見てもらえば分かりますが、DJが間に入っていて彼がカットインした曲をコピーして演奏したり、互いの曲をカバーしあったりしてゲームは進みます。
そして、今宵のバトルはリクル・マイvs大神バンド。
レゲエとヒップホップの取り合わせで盛り上がりました。
The hall has 2 stages and they played on each stage like this.
As you see upper photo, you can understand that a DJ was playing among them.
They copied and played the music cut in by the DJ and covered each music.
LIKKLE MAI vs OHGA BAND at that night.
The matching between reggae and hip-hop made the audience hotter.

で、勝敗は観客の拍手を集音して決定。
The winner was chose by clapping of the audience.

もちろん、この後もビールでしたが。
今夜も暑いので、一杯いってきます。
Of course, I drank beer with my friend, too.
Because it is hot tonight, beer is really wonderful!

韓国のカフェでは・At a cafe in Seoul

先週末韓国ソウルに旅してきたのです。
目的はもちろん、おいしい韓国料理をたらふく食べること！
どの食事処で食べたお料理もとってもおいしく大満足だったのですが、
その中でもお茶しようと寄ったカフェがとても私の気に入ったのです。

まず、内装が幼稚園の落書き室みたいなレトロでポップな感じでとってもかわいい。

I did a little trip over to Seoul, Korea a few days ago.
The main purpose of this trip was of course to enjoy the yummy Korean food.

Every places we visited offered amazingly tasty food,
but I particularly enjoyed a cafe which we stopped by for a cup of tea.

First of all, the colours inside catch people's eyes.
With many different colours jumping around everywhere in the cafe,
the place reminded me of my primary school play room.

しかも！カフェであるにもかかわらず、さすが韓国。
プーンとキムチの香りがしてくるではないですか！
まさかと思って、カウンターを覗いてみると、
お姉さんがおいしそうなキムチの炒め物を作っているのでした。
聞くところによると、韓国では朝からキムチを食べるそうで、
もちろんカフェでもキムチは欠かせないようです。

To my surprise, this colourful cafe was filled with Kimuchi's savoury smell,
not with the coffee aroma as we would usually expect from normal cafes.
(Kimuchi is typical Korean pickles made with a lots of garlics. Usually very spicy. )

Indeed, the cafe keeper was cooking some side dishes with Kimuchi behind the kitchen counter. The smell of garlic and chilli and meat... yumyumyum...

From what I heard, Korean people usually have spicy Kimuchi for their breakfast.
Then, naturally, Kimuchi must be something essential in Korean cafes too.

キムチのおいしい香りに誘われる自分を何とかとどめながら、
夕食に食べることになっているキムチと焼肉を頭の中で想像しつつ、
ここではゆず茶のみをいただいたのでした。
とってもおいしかった。

さらにこのカフェの中にはお願い事を紙に書いて吊るすことのできる
大きな木があったので、私もお願い事をしっかり書いてきました。
私の願いはキムチの匂いとともに、きっと願いの神様に届けられることでしょう。

With the savory smell, I was of course very tempted to order some Kimuchi at the cafe. I managed to refrain myself from ordering only because we had a plan for Korean beef BBQ with Kimuchi for dinner!

This cafe also had a big tree inside for people to list their wishes on a piece of paper and hung it from the tree.

Yes, I did hung my wish list too.

And I am sure the God of wishes will visit this cafe attracted by the Kimuchi smell, pick up my wish list and make my wishes come true!

もう暑いけど冬子さん／Ms.Fuyuko Matsui

ご無沙汰です。
怠け者ですいません。
Long time, no see!
I'm sorry to be a lazy boy...

今日、本屋をぶらぶらしていたら、見覚えのある名前が目に入りました。
「松井冬子」という名前です。
その雑誌が何であったのかは定かではないのですが…。
Today, when I was in a bookstore, I found the name that I could remember
It was "Fuyuko Matsui".
I can't remember which magazine I found the name on...

ということで、松井冬子さんについて紹介します。
彼女は画家です。
それも、伝統的な日本画の手法を使った作品を創り出します。
ホームページを開いてもらえれば分かるのですが、かなり独特の世界観です。
So, I introduce Ms.Fuyuko Matshi today.
She is an artist, and uses the way of drawing Japanese-style painting.
Visit her HP and you might understand that her works' taste is very unique.

実は、もう２年も前になるのですが、東京都現代美術館で行われた展覧会で彼女の絵は見ています。
In fact, I watched her works in MOT just 2 years ago.

おお、展示作品集がまだ残ってた！
ただ彼女の個展ではなくグループ展でした。
その名も『No Border 「日本画」から／「日本画」へ』。
ライトの当て方も上手だったのですが、墨で描かれた線がとても力強く、何だか脅威すらも感じほどだったのを覚えています。
「夜盲症」と題された幽霊図のような作品は本当に恐ろしいです…。
見る機会があれば、ぜひ！
Oh, I found the booklet of the exhibition!
But, It was not her one-man show but group exhibition.
The exhibition's title was "No border from Japanese-style painting/to Japanese-style painting"
Partly because the way of lighting up was very good, lines of her works looked strong and I felt even threat.
The work titled "Nyctalopia" that a Japanese ghost is drawn is really horrible.
If you have a chance to watch it, you should go!

あ、そうそう、そのとき、本人がいらっしゃっていてサインもらっちゃいました！
またお綺麗な方で。
そして、少し話をした最後に握手もしてもらったのですが、ここでひとつ驚きが。
良い意味で手が男らしくて、好感度アップでした。
本当の理由はよく分かりませんが、作品づくりに没頭した結果であると勝手に想像しています。
Oh, yes, I got her autograph then!
She was very beautiful.
I talked with her for a while and Shook hands with her.
Then, I was surprised to feel her hand rugged in a good sense.
I don't know the reason, but I imagined that she had been drawing and her hands got rugged.

あ、こんな作品集も出てました。
チェックミスでしたね。購入、購入…と。
This art book was released already.
I didn't that. I will buy it...

家庭菜園・Berries at home

枇杷の実がベランダで上手く育ったのに味をしめた私は、
さっそくブルーベリーやブラックベリーの苗を購入し、
本格的にベランダ菜園活動を始動しました。

実がなったら、ジャムや果実酒を造ろうと、
何年後になるかわからない夢を抱きつつ、
小さな苗たちに水を上げる日々が続いています。

いっそのこと、他の果物の苗も植えて、
ベランダを都会の果樹園にしてしまおうかしら、
なんて、最近半分本気で考えているのです。

With the success of producing loquant fruits from our veranda garden,
I have additionally bought small saplings for blueberries and black berries
and planted them in our veranda garden.

I enjoy watering them every morning,
dreaming of the time when I make home made jams and fruit wines
from the berries picked from our veranda.

"Why not plan all the other fruits too
and convert our veranda to a little city fruit garden?"
This idea is now really growing in me....

さあ、もう分かりましたね。
パフュームのライブで開館待ちをしている人たちの列です。
土曜日にZepp Tokyoに行ってきました。
Well, you might know the right answer.
They are waiting for opening of Perfume's live concert.
We went to Zepp Tokyo last Saturday for it.

正確に言うと、パフュームだけではなく、スペシャルアザーズとの２バンドライブ。
スペシャルアザーズもなかなかクールな音楽を奏でるので、１粒で２度おいしいライブでした。
ちなみに、このライブはホットスタッフ30周年を記念して行われたものです。
Correctly, not only Perfume but also Special Others played in this concert.
Because Special Others plays cool music, I was very glad to enjoy 2 good bands at one time.
By the way, the live concert was held to commemorate 30th of Hot Stuff.

スペシャルアザーズが先だったのですが、そのときは会場の様子をキョロキョロ眺めていた興味なさげな青年が、パフュームのライブでは跳んだり叫んだり。
パフューム恐るべしです。
They sang these songs.
Special Others played on ahead, but one of audience might not be interested in Special Others and looked around the appearance of the hall.
But After starting the live concert of Perfume, he jumped up and shouted.
Perfume is great...

興奮醒めやらぬZepp Tokyo。
元気出ました。
仕事頑張ります！
Audience were still excited in front of Zepp Tokyo.
I also got some power.
So I will work harder!

誕生日プレゼント・Birthday gift

誕生日が近いイギリスの友人にプレゼントを買いました。

色々考えた結果、
日本ぽい黒いお急須を無印良品で購入。
一緒にほうじ茶ティーバックもつけるのです。

誕生日を迎える友人は、
紅茶好きで自分でお菓子を焼くのが趣味という人物です。
このプレゼントで新たなお茶の世界を堪能してもらい、
さらに、ほうじ茶に合うお菓子の研究をしてもらおうというのが狙いなのです。

そういえば、無印良品も大好きだったから、
このプレゼント思った以上に喜んでもらえるかもしれない。

などと色々想像しながら、プレゼントを梱包し、
明日郵便局から郵送です。

As the birthday of my friend in London is approaching,
I went shopping for his birthday gift to send.

Having compared a few gift options,
I selected a black ceramic Japanese tea pot from Muji,
together with a pack of Japanese tea (houji-cha) bags.

This friend of mine loves drinking teas
(he drinks a cup of tea nearly every two hours),
and he enjoys baking puddings and cakes for tea.

So, with this new pot and Japanese tea,
I am hoping that he explores the new tea world,
and starts experimenting new puddings and cakes which go well with the Japanese tea.

And he will definitely like this gift as Muji is one of his favourite shops!

With all these thoughts in my mind,
I completed packing the gift,
and I am going to the post office tomorrow to finally mail it to the UK!

井上雄彦／Takehiko Inoue

遅ればせながら、行ってきました。
上野の森美術館で開催されている井上雄彦展です。
I finally went to the exhibition that I had wanted to go.
It was Takehiko Inoue's exhibition held in The Ueno Royal Museum.

外の看板。
ここから展覧会は始まっている気がしました。
緑とマッチしていい感じ。
There was a big signboard outside of the museum.
I felt that the exhibition had started from here.
It matched the green of trees.

実は、私ども、この展覧会に行くのは日曜日を予定しておりました。
が！　が！！　わずか１時間でチケットはソールドアウト！！
悔しい思いをしたので、明けて月曜日にリトライしました。
10時の開館と同時に行ったのです。
To tell the truth, we had planned to go there the last Sunday.
But tickets had been sold out in just one hour!
We regretted that and tried again the last Monday.
So we reached there at 10 a.m. when the museum opened.

けれども、既にこの行列。
漫画はアートだと実感するのに十分な光景です。
並ぶのはイヤでしたが、日本国民がアートを愛でる気持ちを持っていることを実感。
何だか良かったです。
Although, a lot of people already were in a waiting line!
I felt deeply that manga could be said to be art.
Of course, I don't like to wait, but I felt glad that Japanese people loved the art.

さて、井上雄彦作品について知らない人に向けて、解説します。
彼は、日本で今一番忙しい漫画家です。
Well, I introduce some of Takehiko Inoue' works.
He is one of the most famous manga artists in Japan.

僕が持っている彼の作品。
まずはバガボンド。
これはWAMONO magでも紹介しました。
本当に優れた作品です。
画力はもちろん、原作が吉川英治といえども、そのストーリー展開は圧巻。
I have these comics by Takehiko Inoue.
At first, Vagabond. It was introduced in WAMONO mag.
It is really wonderful work.
Not only the quality of the illustrations, but also the story is much better.
By the way, the original was written by Eiji Yoshikawa, one of the popular novelists.

『スラムダンク』
バスケットの青春グラフィティです。
これも必見。
主人公・桜木花道以外のキャラクターもバランス良くクローズアップされています。
こんな視点が変わる漫画も少ないのでは。
アスリートには、気持ちを高揚させる効果あり。
"Slum Dunk".
Basketball of high school students is the subject in it.
Many other characters except the main character Hanamichi Sakuragi.
I thought that there are few manga having a lot of the view like this.

そして隠れた名作『Buzzer Beater』。
近未来を舞台にしたバスケットボール漫画です。
作者は本当にバスケが好きなんでしょうね。
サインペンで描いているっぽい感じも好きです。
And it is "Buzzer Beater" that few people might know.
This subject is basketball in the near future.
He might really love basketball.
I love the lines drawn with a sign-pen.

あと、持っていませんが、彼の作品で有名なのが『リアル』。
車椅子バスケを題材にしています。
テーマが多少重いですが、すこぶる高評価を受けています。
"Real" is famous, too.
I don't have the comics.
Basketball by wheelchair users is drawn in it.
The theme is pretty heavier, but it was evaluated higher.

さて、実際の展覧会はどうだったのかと言うと、もちろん作品は素晴らしかった。
でも、今回すごく感じられたのは、漫画家・井上雄彦が、アーティスト・井上雄彦になっていった過程が分かる点。
多少ネタばれになりますが、まずは原稿用紙に描かれた漫画から展覧会がスタート。
絵として和紙にかかれた作品が途中で現れます。
Actually, I could watch wonderful works in the exhibition.
But I felt strongly the process that Takehiko Inoue changed from a caricaturist to an artist.
At first, the exhibition starts from manga works drawn on the papers.
You can watch the pictures drawn with China ink on Japanese papers.

明らかにそれが変調したのが、武蔵の服を水墨画のタッチで、その他の線はいつもの漫画のタッチで描いていた作品から。
次には、原稿用紙を飛び出して、蝶が飛び始めました。
But the taste clearly changed from the work that he drew Musashi's clothes like ink painting and the other lines with usually touch.
Next, butterflies appeared on walls, not on papers.

さらには、絵という概念を超えて、釘が打たれたり、木刀が置かれたり。
きっと、僕が考えるに、作品に釘を打ったあたりから、漫画の枠を超える術を手に入れたような気がします。
漫画じゃなくていいんだって思ったんでしょうね。
「最後のマンガ展」はきっと嘘じゃありません。
でも、勝手に思うのが、マンガの枠を超えた展覧会はきっとこの先あるような…。

I thought that he got the new way of expressing except manga when he had knocked a nail on his work.
He might have thought he didn't need to use the ways to draw manga.
Surely, "the LAST Manga Exhibition" is true.
But different kinds of exhibitions by Takehiko Inoue would be held, I guess.

そして、散財タイムです。
たくさん作品集を買いました。
まずは、バガボンド水彩作品集『WATER』。
And I spent a lot of money for art books and DVDs.
At first, this is "WATER" where works of Vagavond are drawn with watercolor.

ちょっと前に行われた、スラムダンク１億冊突破記念の黒板マンガプロジェクトや、資生堂unoのCM撮りの風景を収めたDVD。
そのプロセスが分かります。本当に面白い！
Do you know the project that Slam Dunk was drawn on blackboards in commemoration of sold over 100,000,000 and the commercial message of Shiseidou"uno"?
You can see the process of them by this DVDs. They are very interesting.

今回の展覧会の図版。”三日月編”。
Illustrations of this exhibition. "Crescent Version".

作品を完全収録した“満月編”は予約の必要あり。
もちろん、すぐに予約しました。
"Full moon Version" that has all the works of the exhibition has to be reserved to get.
Of course, I made a reservation soon.

雑誌BRUTUSの特集号。
デザイン最高です。
面白いのは、紙を上手に変えているという点。
正直、何でもないようなトピックスが紙を変えるとありがたく見えてくる。
保存版としてとっておきたい１冊ですね。
This is BRUTUS magazine.
The design of the cover looks cool.
It is very interesting that the quality of the paper is different from usual one.
Frankly speaking, though the contents are special, the different quality of paper makes it better.
It is worth keeping.

しめて、15000円くらい使いました…。
額はでかいですが、まあいい買い物でした！
I spent 15,000 yen for them...
But I got the good things to me!

おうちで果樹園・A little fruit garden

なんとなんと、家の小さなベランダで、
枇杷の実が育ったのです。

実はこの枇杷、
8年ほど前に八百屋さんで買ってきた枇杷の実を食べた我が父が、
ぷぅっとはき出した種から芽が出たので、
そのまま水をやってベランダの植木鉢で育ててたのです。

ただただ水をやり続けて8年ほど。
小さなベランダの小さな植木鉢ですくすくと大きくなり、
気づいたら、なんとたわわに枇杷が実っているじゃないですか。

こりゃ近々食べられるかも知れないと、
我が家の近くを陣地にしているカラスに狙われないように、
しっかり果物ネットで枇杷の実を保護する厳重警戒態勢に入り、
待つこと数日。

すっかり橙色に熟れた小粒の枇杷をみんなでおいしくいただいたのでした。

ベランダでもこんなにおいしい枇杷が出来ちゃうんだもの。
他の果物も育ててみようか、と
にわかベランダ果樹園熱が私の中に生まれています。

Surprise surprise!
In our little house veranda,
our small loquat tree bore its fruits!

The story of the loquat tree goes back to eight years ago.
It all started with my father spitting out the seeds of loquat fruits that he bought from a fruit shop.
A few weeks later, we saw some seeds started to sprout so we decideｄ to water them.

We kept on watering sprouts,
which turned into a small tree,
and 8 years later, ta da!!!!
The tree was looking heavy with a number small orange fruits!

Since we found out about the fruits,
we all started to pay more dedicated attention to the tree,
even by protecting the fruits with fruits nets
to make sure that crows in our neibourhood don't steal our precious fruits.

A few days later under the recent summary sunshine,
the loquats have ripen into really juicy looking fruits
and we all enjoyed our home raised fresh fruits.

Now that it has been proven that tastey fruits can be grown in our small veranda,
I am now thinking....
maybe....
I should convert our veranda into a small fruit garden,
growing different fruits!!

盆栽ライダー／BONSAI rider

本日、六本木あたりを歩いていると、銀行前にちょっとした露店を発見。
I walked around Roppongi and found a street stall in front of a bank today.

なーんでしょ？　これ？
What's this!?

なんと、これ移動式の盆栽ショップ。
「盆栽ライダー」（HPを参照）というこのバイクで移動して、色々な街で盆栽を売っているようです。
Wow...It was a moving BONSAI shop.
The shopkeeper moves by his bike named "BONSAI RIDER"(visit his HP) and sells BONSAI in every place.

植物自体も小さくてかわいらしいのですが、その入れ物も面白い。
湯のみだったり、貝殻だったり。
また、すごくリーズナブルなのも魅力で、500円、1000円、1500円、2000円というランクで販売していました（たぶん、盆栽ライダーの中の立派な盆栽はびっくりするほど高いのでしょうね…）。
Plants themselves looked pretty and the cases also were interesting.
For example, some teacups and shells were used as cases.
And the lower price was attractive to me.
They were sold for 500 yen, 1000 yen, 1500 yen and 2000 yen.(Maybe, some BONSAI in the bike seemed to be very expensive...)

品川区に店を構える『江戸盆栽　萌菜工房』というお店の人が売っていました。
でも、この人、神出鬼没。
次はどの街で見られるのでしょう！？
The shopkeeper has his shop in Shinagawa Ward.
The shop's name is "EDO-BONSAI Mona-Kobo".
But you can never know when and where he would appear.
Where will I meet him next time!?

僕はこれを購入。カエデ。
また、コケの絶妙な付き方も最高です。
ちなみに、台座は家にあったものを利用。
うーん、趣き深い！
I bought this. A maple tree.
And the condition of the moss looks wonderful.
By the way, The board under the teacup is one of my personal belongings.
It is really quaint !
